Day +47
I stayed up late with Lily last night so decided to go straight to bed without doing the blog. I'll do a quick resume now. Despite a temp of 39.7 at lunchtime, Jesse was on good form, eating and being himself. The poo rate went up rapidly though, back to almost 1.5 litres. I don't know what the doctors will say, but I think we should brave it out and see how it goes. They may want to stop him eating. I know the antibiotics make him poo more so I will argue against it...
Lily visited on her way back to Brighton from Glasgow, it was so lovely to see her, I got lots of hugs! She was pleased with Jesse, although physically he has changed a lot, she felt he was back to being himself. Four weeks ago when she last saw him he was a very different person, withdrawn and fragile. Last night he was cheeky and bright, they worked on the train puzzle and together we finished it! Tim came by too, he and Jesse worked on their menus. When Jesse went to sleep I made everyone one of my delicious hospital tapas meals and we had a good evening.

Hey Jess!
It was awesome to see you yesterday. Hope I can come and visit again very soon. Have you come to a decision on whether I'm allowed to be at the feast or not? I very much enjoyed the jigsaw, I've definitely been converted into a jigsaw puzzle fan. Please make sure mum includes jigsaw puzzle news in every post!
Loads and loads of love,
Lily xxx

hey jesse, hey claudia,
sorry that I nver commented again, i just could not sign in again and it drove me mad, i do not know how many names and adresses i did so far to sign in. Even so I read the blog everyday and was always with you. I am so proud of your whole family, you are all really outstanding. I guess it would be so nice to be ordinary, not splendid, great or brave but just normal, i hope that comes soon.
I took on a regular job and were always so short on time, but now ranja has chicken pocks and I stay home with her, it is a strange feeling to have time and be at home. Well but i would prefer malu to have chicken pocks now and not just after ranja goes back to the kindergarden. well i send this now otherwise i go mad, like so often when i wrote and than it just desappeared and was still not on the blog.

Hi cousin,
I thought you might be interested to hear about a new little job of mine as it involves robots, insects and Lego! Some scientists in Edinburgh are trying to understand better how insects like fruit flies and cricket behave by making robots that copy them. Some of the robots they make look a bit like insects for example there is one kind that has neither wheels nor legs but these funny looking things that are half wheel and half legs called wegs (wheels and legs = wegs). Most of the robots don't look like insects very much - some of them look like small trucks. These ones are called koalas which is a bit confusing because thats a kind of bear. One of the scientists is doing experiments figuring out how flies see by making lego models. My job will be to try and explain all this to children. I am probably not doing a very good yet, but writing this to you has been a good useful practice for me. (thanks Jesse!). Promise I will try and be a bit clearer next time ;)
love
Robb
