Day +37
This’ll be a shorty… I was all set to write a very positive entry but late this evening Jesse has gone downhill, maybe it is just a blip, but he has been sick twice and has just done 660ml of poo. Up until now he was at 16ml from 7am!
Jesse was full of beans this morning, awake at six, although I persuaded him to let me sleep till 7am. We did more puzzles, two walks plus baths etc and in the afternoon Tim visited. He and Jesse drew up four days of seven courses of his favourite foods. Since they halved his steroids the food cravings have lessened but haven’t totally gone away. The nurses have engineered it so he has 4 hours off his lines as of today, so were able to go out to the Brunswick centre today (there and back by wheelchair but walking in between)...sorry falling asleep...will continue tomorrow, keep in touch, love

UPDATE ON SUNDAY 11 MARCH (11am)
Don't panic, he seems OK. He had a good night, more poo this morning but not so much. Awake bright and early and currently having the longest bath ever (so far 45 mins...usually 29 seconds!)
We are planning a trip to the river, will update later,
C

Hi Jesse,
Thought I would tell you I have just arrived back from Ireland were I think you are alittle famous, as all my friends and family have been asking for you.
I also saw your little brother Bernie last week who is pretty quick on his feet!!
We have thousands of tadpoles in the pond.Did you have them last year? james is very excited that we will have lots of green friends soon.
Keep up the progress.
Lots of love
Mary.
Jealous - fancy spending 45 mins in the bath! Did you get to the river - I wonder how long you could spend in that?
Reading about Mary's tadpoles reminded me of the time that I spotted some tiny sort of "things" in my garden. They were in a rain water filled saucer; thinking that they were really really small tadpoles I moved them to a bigger pot.
For a week or two I made sure that they had enough water to move around in, by adding nice sunwarmed rainwater as necess. I was getting a bit concerned that they weren't growing little black tails. Joby came long, looked at them, laughed his head off and told me that I had been nurturing mozzie larvae - eeek. Being a person that every insect around gets their dinner off, which leaves me scratching all over, you can guess what I did!!!
Still keeping me fingers legs n toes crossed!!!

Hi Jesse -
Just wanted to give you a message from Woody. He says HE's very interested in food too - AND mostly food that he would like, but can't always get hold of just when he wants it most.
Here's his current top 5
1) Gravy Bone biscuits
2) Really smelly Stilton
3) Rodeo Twirly Chews
4)Cat food
5) Anything you have on your plate that might accidentally find it's way onto the floor.Really, anything.
But he's always hopeful, because a very old dog once told him that all good things come to dogs who wait. So it's just a question of being patient and also keeping an eye out for messy eaters.
Anyway, that's all he wanted to say except if you ARE going to be going out and about in the next few days, he hopes to bump into you and see if you've got anything for him hidden in your pockets.
Well done for getting better and better!
Lots of love,
Charlie, Tom, Woody + Wilbur xxxx
hello Cousin Jesse,
I saw your sister on saturday in Glasgow. I'm not sure what they are teaching her at art school, but in the evening she likes to go to the theatre to watch musicians sing the sounds that letters of the alphabet make! The theatre had a big screen showing the audience what the "words" of the song were but no one joined in. It was all a bit too serious and grown up. But you could ask her to sing what she learnt at Easter.
lots of love
Robb
"AAAAAA-BBBBBB-CCCCCC-DDDDDD-EEEEEE..." That's a bit how the song started. I seem to remember you're not too keen on my singing, Jesse, but maybe you could give me a chance next time I see you to see if I've improved or not?
The song our big cousin Robb missed in part two of the show was about the letters one to one hundred. I wonder if you can guess what the words were to that...?
Hope you enjoyed your trip to the South Bank yesterday. Did Stanley behave himself? Did Bernie chase any pigeons?
When you come back home... do you want to dip paper into tea so that it looks like it's from the olden days? Have you done it before? I forgot it was possible to do this until the other night when I spilt tea all over our electricity bill and it suddenly looked like an electricity bill from the olden days! A bill that hadn't been paid for a hundred years!
How about jigsaw puzzles dipped in tea? Or juice? Maybe you could try it on Fox Ward when nobody's looking...
Love you loads and loads and loads and loads,
Lily xxx

Dear Jesse
What a fantastic amount of time to spend in the bath-were you like a wrinkled prune when you got out? I love reading in the bath but yesterday dropped my book in-whoops!! turning the pages on a soggy book is not easy.
Thinking of you lots
Charlotte
Hi Jesse,
Lilys tea on paper art attack is a great one - Scott did it & drew a treasure map for us - looks really cool.
Ceri likes your taste in food -especially the lychees - he says try 'dragon fruit' tastes similar but a different colour.
