Day -8 (part one)
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the posts and the emails and the photos and the jokes! All much appreciated by us both. As I write Jesse is about to start Campath, at first he only has 1mg per hour, then 2mg ph then 3mg ph, until after 8 hours he will have had 25mg. His temperature went down and is now normal but overnight, while he was sleeping, his heart rate and blood pressure were very low (so hardily slept for worry). This was probably due to the premed steroids and was better when he woke, but they delayed his second premed until the bmt doctors were on this morning. So we are now 5 hours behind! He may not have any reaction or he may be very ill; wish us luck, I'll do a second installment when I can.

Hi Jesse
it's Charlotte here from the Alex in Brighton.I really like your new haircut-it looks very cool and you do look like a soldier, especially with that jumper on.
You sound as if you've been very brave- just like a soldier.
Thinking of you lots.
Please say hi to your mum and dad from me.
Take care
Charlotte
Dear Jesse,
My little dog Snoopy saw snow for the first time today, because it was all white outside first thing this morning. He wouldn't go outside to do a wee because he was too scared and then I found he had done a wee in the kitchen. I had to carry him to take him out later. I hope you have one of your dogs near you and it's lucky they don't have to go out and can stay in and keep you company.
I hope you are feeling OK and that you can sleep.
Love, Ruth

hey jesse, malu sees your picture and thinks you are a "real" man, she sees no chance that you might be a boy. by the way she wants to come around your place right now and does not mind that you are quite far away and stay in hospital, where dity little creatures with a flu are not allowed. well, she agreede to meet you in her dreams, so if you see a little german girl tonight thats her. ranja rembers your impressive carate from the summer when bounced round the living room and now ranja and malu are going bananas while i write to you. i just wanted to say hello from berlin and that we think of you and visit you everyday in the net. a big bubble of love and strength from germany. and for claudia and derek love and hugs as well you are amazing. looking forward to the summer in greatham, when nobody of you has to be amazing any more but chill and relax and play cricket, frisbee or croquet on the lawn.
love maike
I hear that you're being really brave, Jesse. You're such a tough guy!
It snowed loads today, and I had alot of fun having snowball fights in the snow with my freinds. It should snow tomorrow too!
Stay brave, and I love you lots.

Hiya Jesse,
I haven't managed to get any work done this morning as i have been hooked on reading your diary & all the fab comments from all your friends! I have just started back at work as Millie is now nearly 9 months old and Jenna has just had her 3rd birthday so they are loving the adventure of being with their childminder every day. Auntie Jenny is the best person to ask for stories and pictures of the Carribean, she has been to nearly all the islands and seen some amazing fish & whales & turtles. Jenna still talks of the day we went to the sealife centre & the beach in the summer so she shares your passion for the underwater world! Keep living your dreams - and spirits up!
xx
